With interdisciplinary programs and researchers we make meaningful change happen in the classroom, the office, and in communities around the world. Our vision is to use our unique position as a leading teaching and research institute for the environment to create sustainable solutions needed to address the complex challenges facing our world.

    This academic year, the Faculty of Environment was pleased to award the Dean of Environment’s Scholarship for Excellence to four very deserving incoming first-year students to acknowledge their outstanding work both in the classrooms and through their extra curricular activities. Each winner has demonstrated excellent leadership skills, a passion for the environment and academic excellence.

    Respected Arctic scholar and Faculty of Environment alumnus receives one of Canada's highest civilian honours

    Dr. David Barber was recently appointed to officer of the Order of Canada for his leadership in environmental science and contributions to the study of Arctic sea ice.
