The mailing lists help you to stay informed about academic, research, and teaching information in the Faculty of Environment. These mailing lists are moderated to ensure that only relevant information is sent. In an effort to reduce the amount of email in our inboxes, only information related to Dean's office activity is to be sent to the mailing lists. However, exceptions can be made in special circumstances. We encourage you to explore Environment's many other communications channels (digital signage, social media) to promote activities.
Please follow the rules or your emails will not be distributed.
- Send from an @uwaterloo.ca email account.
- Do not use "RE:" or "FW:" in the subject line.
- Do not include attachments. Put all the relevant information in the body and link externally where possible.
- Do not send email to mailing lists asking for the email to be distributed.
- Do not Cc: or Bcc: when sending messages.
- If sending to multiple lists, please craft a separate email for each mass email list.
Note: If you send an email to the mailing lists, it will be delivered from your email address.
Emails sent to the faculty, staff or student lists must be academic in nature and relevant to the majority of the members of the respective list. For messages that do not fit these criteria, please consider sending to the opt-in env-community list instead. All information must be sent as text with links. Messages with attachments may be rejected.
An opt-in list for members of the University of Waterloo community to share, promote and learn even more about the great stuff happening around us. Must be subscribed to using an @uwaterloo.ca email address.
To unsubscibe, visit env-community mailing list info page (scroll down to the bottom of the page).
All students are automatically subscribed to the mailing list at the start of September each year.
Faculty and Staff Members
All faculty and staff members are automatically subscribed to the mailing list.
There are also mailing lists specific to your department or school, which you may automatically be a member of.
