Leadership, initiative and strategic vision have positioned Barb Mason as one of the highest placed women in her field. Joining Scotiabank in 1982, Barb was appointed Executive Vice President, Wealth Management, Canada in 2006. Leading a team of nearly 3000, she is responsible for a franchise of businesses and the management of major assets.
While balancing family and career, Barb serves on the board of Ronald McDonald House Toronto, the Women in Philanthropy Advisory Board for Providence Health Care and the Faculty of Environment’s Deans’ Advisory Council at the University of Waterloo. In 2010 she was inducted into the Women’s’ Executive Network’s Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Hall of Fame and awarded the Faculty of Environment Alumni Achievement Award.
