Do you have a solution to a major global problem? Apply to the World's Challenge Challenge below!
The World’s Challenge Challenge (WCC) at the University of Waterloo is a competition where teams of two to four students pick one of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (also known as Global Goals) and propose a solution. Teams that have been selected will make a 5-7 minute presentation on their proposed solution on March 25, 2021. Each presentation will be followed by a quick Q&A session.
The winning team will win $3,000 and will move on to compete against other schools at the International WCC held at Western University in London, Ontario from June 6-11, 2021. The winning team of the International round will win $30,000, the second place team will win $15,000 and the 3rd place team will win $7,500. More information about the event can be found here (including the scoring rubric and resources). The World’s Challenge Challenge is a collaboration between Waterloo International, Entrepreneurship @ Environment, and Western University.
