3 Minute Thesis text

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition asks University of Waterloo research-based master's and doctoral students to explain the breadth and significance of their research to a non-specialist audience using only one static slide in three minutes.

Not only does the 3MT help cultivate students' presentation and communication skills while providing them with invaluable networking opportunities, winners also have the potential to win thousands of dollars in prizes. Register to compete for the 3 Minute Thesis by filling out the online application.

Competitors are able to attend faculty-based heats, so we encourage you to join us at the Environment Faculty Heat on Wednesday March 4 at 2:30p.m. in EV3 1408.

Thursday, March 5, 2020 (all day)

Come out on Thursday, March 5th at FED Hall for a day of engaging and inspiring discussion about consumerism, its social and environmental impacts, and how we can all live more consciously. Graduating Class of 2020

Congratulations on nearing the end of your studies at Waterloo!

Graduating students (undergrad and grad), staff and faculty are invited to join Dean Jean Andrey, to celebrate graduating students achievements.

Enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres and a complimentary drink as we raise a glass to welcome the newest members of the Environment Alumni family. Share a laugh and find out who will receive the "most likely to..." and be inspired by a young alumnus who will share a few words of advice and encouragement as you embark on your next phase of life.

We looking forward to sharing this milestone moment with you!
