On October 19th, Eli Kane, the Group Manager, Information Strategy, Design and Performance from Ontario Cancer Care is coming to the University of Waterloo to talk about big health data.
This talk will touch on the experience of an entrepreneurial environmental scientist who ventured into the big health data arena just over four years ago. Kane engineered an approach to tackling population-based health challenges by leveraging the power of location, acquiring new data and using different technologies. The talk will highlight this approach and how it has disrupted current thinking, sparking new evidence-based strategies to overcome health equity disparities, and influence current decision making to be more person-centered.
