Convocation is a special time to celebrate! Join the Faculty of Environment on Friday, October 25th, to congratulate our hardworking students on their graduation!
Our Faculty of Environment Convocation Ceremony will take place on Friday, October 25, at 2:30 p.m. in the Physical Activities Complex
We are pleased to invite you and your guests to an informal complimentary post-convocation reception. Join us at the Student Life Centre in the Great Hall to celebrate your milestone achievement of the completion of your degree! The reception starts right after the convocation ceremony.
4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (approximately, as the reception immediately follows the afternoon convocation ceremony)
The complimentary reception includes refreshments and light snacks. Registration is not required!
Details regarding convocation logistics are available on the convocation website.
The event will also be available via Livestream.
If you sat for a grad photo, you may pick up your class composite at your grad reception. Not attending the reception? Contact jaime.fohkens@uwaterloo.ca to arrange a time to pick it up.
If you are not attending the ceremony, the Registrar’s Office will mail your diploma to the home address you have in Quest one week after convocation.
Completing your degree is a big step! We want to know where your next steps will take you. Fill out the grad Next Steps Survey online by October 23rd for your chance to win an ENV Swag bag.
Use the hash tag #uwaterloograd and tag @envwaterloo to tell the world how you feel about your grad success. Tweets will be displayed live before the ceremonies in the Physical Activities Complex and on our webcast.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
