Announcing the Geothink Summer Institute 2015 Hosted by the University of Waterloo Faculty of Environment, June 15-17.
The Geothink Summer Institute will focus on providing knowledge and training in theoretical and practical aspects of crowdsourcing. You will be working together with other students from different disciplines to solve a crowdsourcing problem, with expert instruction from a team of leading academics. You will use the knowledge gained at the workshops as well as leverage expertise from individuals in your team to come up with a solution. Expect a strong problem-solving aspect to your experience.
Geothink has a number of research partners in municipal government. This year, we have had the pleasure of working with the City of Ottawa in creating the problem scenario which you will be solving. Your solutions at this workshop will be submitted to representatives from the City of Ottawa.
Our key instructors are:
Monica Stephens (SUNY-Buffalo)
Robert Goodspeed (University of Michigan)
Daren C. Brabham (University of Southern California)
