Lecture: Energy and Environmental RiskExport this event to calendar

Tuesday, March 27, 2012 — 6:59 PM to 8:00 PM EDT

No energy source is risk-free. All forms of managed energy (hydroelectric, nuclear, fossil fuels, wood, biofuels, solar, wind, tidal) carry risks of different types.

Join Maurice Dusseault and Stephen Evans from the Earth and Environmental Science Department for a discussion about the risk associated with different forms and sources of energy, and how these possible hazards are often misunderstood, poorly estimated, or deliberately misrepresented.

What do YOU want your energy future to look like? How much are you willing to pay to reduce environmental risk associated with your energy demands?
