Researcher, International Institute for Green Finance
Yingzhi (Sarah) Tang is a green finance researcher fascinated by the critical role the financial sector could play in solving the climate and biodiversity crisis. Her work focuses on understanding climate-related physical and transition risks and raising awareness of the urgent need for a “green and just” recovery from the COVID-19 recession. She has been involved in multiple research projects across the world including China, Canada, and Switzerland.
Outside of work, Sarah devotes her time to building an environmentally conscious, culturally diverse, and creative community through volunteering. She was a marketing co-director for a student-led sustainable fashion show at the University of Waterloo, a marketing volunteer for the Academy for Sustainable Innovation, and a co-founder of a podcast about entrepreneurship and creative work.
