An additional $1.5 million funding available for domestic graduate students

University of Waterloo has recently announced additional financial incentives totalling $1.5 million to encourage the continued development of Canadian graduate research. The funds are available for both domestic PhD and research Master’s students beginning their studies in fall 2018. Funding details and eligibility requirements are specific to each faculty, with a general overview available on the Discover Graduate Studies website.

Green graphic with trophy, bulls-eye and calculatorIn the Faculty of Environment, this additional funding has translated into additional support for our Dean’s Doctoral initiative and funding package for exceptional Masters students. All students who have submitted an application to a PhD or research Master’s program for fall 2018 start date will be automatically considered for these funding opportunities. If you have not yet submitted your application, the deadline has been extended to February 9, 2018.
