Environment recognizes the Spring 2018 Co-op Work Term Award winners

The Faculty of Environment would like to congratulate the amazing student winners of the Spring 2018 Co-op Work Term Award. These students demonstrated exceptional performance in their placements. Each of the recipients received a $100 credit to their account, a letter from the Dean of Environment and two copies of their certificate. Curious who won?

ENV's Alison Braithwaite awarded J. Alan George Student Leadership Award

Alison Braithwaite

Alison Braithwaite, a graduate student under the supervision of Researcher Nancy Worth in the Department of Geography was recently awarded the J. Alan George Student Leadership Award.

The award is presented to an entering graduate student, chosen from among students within three terms of first receipt of a Provost Doctoral Entrance Award for Women and based on a record of student leadership.

The new Environment Plan released by Ontario's Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks features several aspects of the work done by the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation (ICCA). Much of the language and information on pages 18-21 and again on page 30 were recommendations made by the Intact Centre on how Ontario should proceed on adaptation.
