This past weekend, the University of Waterloo hosted the annual National Geomatics competition. Congratulations to the winners, as well as every team that participated. Thank you to all the volunteers who made the comptition happen, as well as the events sponsors!
On November 13th, 2019, eleven teams competed for the Jack Rosen memorial pitch competition. Jack Rosen was an entrepreneur and recycling pioneer. In his honor,the Rosen family contributes to the growth of Entrepreneurship in the faculty of environment for the competition to find solutions to mitigate environmental problems.
The Department of Geography and Environmental Management's inaugural Arctic field school was a success, and left us with some great stories and beautiful photographs from daily blog posts by the students.
