Environment students shine at GRADflix

On Thursday January 10, the University of Waterloo’s Office of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA) hosted the final showcase for the GRADflix initiative. The Faculty of Environment represented five of the fifteen finalists, the largest number of any faculty on campus.

Environmental Commissioner of Ontario to meet with Faculty researchers

Gord Miller, the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario (ECO), and his Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Committee will be on the University of Waterloo campus on June 4th to engage with Faculty of Environment research groups, including graduate students.

First Master of Development Practice students embark on summer abroad

The first class of the School of Environment Enterprise and Development’s (SEED) MDP program has now gone abroad to complete their field placement projects in developing countries. The three- month practicum allows the students to head out into the world and apply the knowledge  learned in their first two terms of course work.
