Environment’s Spectacular Growth on Display at Dean’s Welcome and Book Launch

Monday, December 3, 2012

Dean Andre Roy at the podiumMoving into the final month of the calendar year, ENV staff and faculty gathered in the EV1 courtyard to celebrate what has been an unprecedented year of growth and success.

It was a rare, but welcome, opportunity for faculty members across all five academic units to get together, share stories and learn more about each other’s research. As the fastest growing faculty at the University of Waterloo the event also provided and opportunity to get to know many of the new faces in our halls.

Following a warm welcome from André Roy, Dean of the Faculty of Environment, faculty members with new publications took to the podium to discuss their books. In total, 18 faculty members had new books, or updated editions of existing texts. With 64 full-time faculty members in Environment, the output was exceptionally high.
