Despite claims that land shortage is at the heart of the hot housing market in Waterloo Region, new research from the Neptis Foundation reveals that's not the case. To find out what could be causing the shortage of single detached homes, CBC recently reached out to School of Planning professor Dawn Parker who told them there are a number of factors that could be at play, including a self-reinforcing "panic response" to real or perceived scarcity and construction along the LRT line.
