The new Environment Plan released by Ontario's Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks features several aspects of the work done by the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation (ICCA). Much of the language and information on pages 18-21 and again on page 30 were recommendations made by the Intact Centre on how Ontario should proceed on adaptation.
The plan also featured ICCA graphics illustrating simple, cost-effective steps homeowners can take to reduce their flood risk, as well as an Ontario-wide risk assessment, and recommendations to modernize the building code.
The University of Waterloo is the only university or college mentioned by name in the 50+ page report.
