The Faculty of Environment is excited to present our annual Show Us Your Environment Photo Contest! The contest will run from Monday, April 12 to Monday, April 19, 2021.
The Faculty of Environment community is diverse - and so are your experiences! We want to see the awesome places and things you’ve done that make our faculty such a great place to study, work and explore.

Submissions

To submit photos, use our contest webform below or direct message your photo(s) to @envwaterloo on Instagram.

This contest is only open to University of Waterloo Faculty of Environment students, staff, faculty, alumni, and affiliates.

Photos should be no more than one year old and must be your intellectual property.

Submissions will not be considered if COVID-19 safety protocols and public health guidelines are not being followed in the photo.

You can submit as many photos as you like, however only one of your entries will be considered for the top six winners. Duplicates of photos will be considered as one entry.

Submissions must include a brief caption to give the photo context (the 5 W’s). You must provide your contact information, and if chosen as a winner, you must provide a current mailing address to receive your prize once contacted.

Submissions are open from Monday, April 12 to Wednesday April 14, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.

By entering the contest, you consent to the University of Waterloo using any material submitted for promotional purposes.
Voting
- Photos will be assessed by Faculty of Environment staff.
- Voting on the top six photos will open on Friday April 16, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.
- Voting will close on Monday April 19 2021 at 4:00 p.m.
- The winner will be announced on Tuesday April 20, 2021
- Voting will occur on the Faculty of Environment’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Every "like" a photo receives will be considered one vote. Votes on photos will be tallied to determine the winners.
- Votes may be cast by anyone with an Instagram or Facebook account; however, votes must be cast by authentic accounts. Participants that use “bot” voting services or scripts will be disqualified.
Affiliations
Prizes are provided by the University of Waterloo. The contest is not affilaited with Facebook, Instagram, or any third party.
