“Donors bring greater number of opportunities, happiness and fulfillment to ambitious students. Receiving [my scholarship] inspired me to continue the line of generosity by becoming a donor one day myself, in order to transform lives.”

Make a lasting impact

Thank you for your generous support of the Faculty of Environment.  Annual philanthropic support from alumni and friends like you last year provided over 2,000 students with financial support, internships and experiential learning opportunities, and helped enhance their student experience through programs and upgrades to facilities in the Faculty.

Faculty of Environment's strategic fundraising priorities

Global Citizen Internships

By supporting the Faulty of Environment Global Citizen Internship Program, you are mobilizing today’s youth. This fund enables committed, talented and passionate environment undergraduate and graduate students to apply their knowledge in a work setting at local and global not for profit organizations.  Our aim is to create 50 internships globally by 2019, when the Faculty of Environment turns 50!

Donating to scholarships has a measurable and immediate impact by helping us attract, recognize and support deserving students, inspiring them to believe in themselves and putting them on the path to success. By easing their financial strain, your gift to student scholarships also buys students the most precious gift of all; time - to focus on their studies and experiential learning opportunities.

Environment's Entrepreneurship Fund

When you give a gift to the Faculty of Environment Entrepreneurship Fund, you are investing in the sustainable business leaders of the future. Through prizes for business pitch competitions, entrepreneurship internships and academic programming, this fund empowers Faculty of Environment students to explore and develop their entrepreneurship initiatives.

Academic chairs advance innovation and mobilize knowledge to achieve tangible outcomes. We are currently fundraising for two chairs. The Chair in Sustainable Finance will conduct academically rigorous research relevant for business and government leaders in the finance and sustainable development fields. The Chair in Future Cities will lead a collaborative body of industry, government and university researchers from across Canada, addressing important issues facing today’s cities, including affordable housing, mobility, accessibility and climate resilience.
