Originally from California, I completed a BA in Global Studies and a BA in French at California Lutheran University. After interning with a water-based social enterprise in West Africa and spending some time in the work force, I returned to academia at UW to pursue a Masters of Environmental Management in Sustainability Management with Dr. Prateep Nayak in the School of Environment, Enterprise, and Development. During my masters, I delivered a field-work based thesis exploring governance pathways to enhance the achievability of Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6 - universal access to clean water and sanitation) in India. Currently, I am a Research Associate working across many departments at the University of Waterloo with a particular focus on water governance, adaptive co-management, and knowledge mobilization.  Other academic interests include social enterprise and transformations, but I also enjoy rock climbing, craft beer, photography, music, and travel. I additionally co-founded and manage a platform called Girls Gone Water with fellow ECGG member Irene Brueckner-Irwin which helps people cultivate a deeper understanding of and appreciate for their connection to the natural world using water and storytelling.
