DESCRIPTION:JOIN EVIDENCE JAM 2026 — TURN ECOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE INTO AI-PO
 WERED\nINSIGHT\n\nEvidence Jam 2026 (_Causapalooza!_) is a weekend hackath
 on at the\nUniversity of Waterloo's DRAGEN Lab\, November 13–16\, where 
 teams use\nAI to turn ecology literature into structured\, practitioner-re
 ady\ncausal knowledge. We're recruiting software developers\, ML engineers
 \,\nrestoration ecologists\, UX/UI designers\, data scientists\, and\nphil
 osophers — interdisciplinary teams of 2–4 are strongly\nencouraged and
  prioritized in selection.\n\nPrizes include the Gold Raccoon awards (Dell
  hardware\, with a Dell\nPro Max workstation with GB10 for first place)\
 , a Green Raccoon\nsustainability award for the most energy efficient solu
 tions\, and the\ncollaborator-voted Most Valuable Possum for best collabor
 ator.\nFeaturing judges and mentors from the World Wildlife Fund\, Nature\
 nConservancy of Canada\, Conservation Halton\, and more.\n\nBeyond the har
 dware\, this is a chance to compress a years-long\nliterature synthesis in
 to one weekend\, with real ecological data\, GPU\ncompute\, and mentors on
  hand to help you ship something a restoration\npractitioner could actuall
 y use. Create open source software in a\ncollaborative setting\, with grea
