The Analytics Day promotes analytics by bringing together researchers, students, and industry experts. The one-day event provides the opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences, and discuss needs.

A plenary talk will be given by Dr. Anna Nagurney, John F. Smith Memorial Professor, University of Massachusetts Amherst. Industry experts from Dematic North America, Deloitte Canada, and SOTI Inc. will report on the development of innovative analytics tools for various application areas. Dr Joe Naoum-Sawaya, University of Western Ontario, and Dr. Fatma Gzara, University of Waterloo, will report on their recent work in analytics in collaboration with industry. 


The Analytics Day is organized by Dr. Fatma Gzara and Waterloo Analytics and Optimization Lab of Management Sciences. The event is sponsored by the Canadian Operational Research Society through the South-Western Ontario section and the Traveling Speakers Program, and the University of Waterloo’s Faculty of Engineering and department of Management Sciences.
