Tenure and promotion are critical milestones in a faculty member's career. You need to collect evidence and document your successes in research, teaching, and service for various individuals and committees to assess. Although many faculty are well prepared to document their research and even service, evidence of good teaching can be more difficult to provide. You will learn about best practices used at other institutions - primarily the teaching dossier - for you to use or adapt in relation to the criteria identified by your Department Chair or School Director.

As first-year students at uWaterloo, we know that your parents can sometimes be your best friend or a big cause of stress. We want you to tell us how your parents and family have been helpful (or not so helpful) in supporting you in your first-year. Did they call you too much or not enough? What does support mean to you? What do parents of first-year students need to know about the transition to university life?

Your feedback and insight will help us teach next year's class of parents how they can best support their student in their first year.
