The Upstart Festival is a bi-annual one act play festival run by uWaterloo Drama students presenting original and innovative works of theatre. This year all 8 shows have been produced, directed and acted by uWaterloo students with seven out of the eight plays being original works. Upstart 14 features a wide range of performance styles including comedy, drama, movement-based theatre and commedia dell’arte.

This workshop is your starting point for conducting research at the library. Learn how to find books, journals, electronic resources, and more. Discover hands-on how to locate resources, access course reserves, manage your library account, collect and export references, and set up alerts for search results.
A talk by Dr. Sharon Roberts, Assistant Professor in Social Development Studies (in association with the Eating Disorder Foundation of Canada).

Phrases such as never being "too rich or too thin," a saying credited to Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor, have laid the foundation for much of popular culture in the 20th and 21st centuries," says Dr. Roberts.
Attend this session to find out how your interests relate to specific career opportunities. NOTE: There is a materials charge of $10.00 payable at the Centre for Career Action prior to the session. Once you have registered and paid, you will be given information on how to complete the Strong Interest Inventory online. The online assessment must be completed at least 2 business days prior to the workshop.
Prepare for professional school interviews by practising in small groups. Learn strategies to improve performance and get tips on how to handle admission questions. The first hour will focus on MMI; the second hour on Standard. NOTE: There is a prerequisite for this workshop. Please see chart for details.

For the next two years, it was anorexia that dominated her quest to achieve the ideal body shape, but at 14, she began to deliberately give herself less insulin than she needed in order to lose even more weight. In high school, she started to skip the needles altogether.
