Searching by subject is often the most common way to find relevant information on your topic. But there is more to subject searching than meets the eye. Delve deeper into discovering the relationships between subject, keywords, controlled vocabularies, and classification systems. By attending this workshop you will learn:
Ultrasound imaging innovations for live monitoring of complex flow dynamics
Dr. Alfred Yu, Associate Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering University of Waterloo
Perhaps popularly known for its use in fetal scanning, ultrasound has already been enjoying a widespread role in today’s clinical practice. Nevertheless, one demerit point that has been limiting ultrasound’s diagnostic potential is its arguably second-rated image quality.
The change of seasons often also brings an influenza outbreak. Although influenza activity generally peaks around January, it takes the body about two weeks after vaccination to develop antibodies that will protect against influenza virus infection. For that reason it's important to get vaccinated before the seasonal outbreak, especially if you fall into the high risk category.
People in the following high risk categories are strongly encouraged to get the flu immunization:

Misleading and Morality
Most people find it natural to think that one who merely misleads is doing something not quite as bad as someone who outright lies. Dr. Saul will explore some difficult and politically interesting cases to argue that this is wrong, but that there are far more complicated distinctions to be drawn between various different sorts of deception.

Generics Don't Essentialise People; People Essentialise People
In some circles generic terms (nouns or phrases that refer to a whole class) are regarded as especially pernicious politically. Dr. Saul will consider this view and argue against it.
