Eli Clare: A Dialogue on "Cure"
The Status of Women and Equity Committee (SWEC), is excited to welcome Eli Clare to campus on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. He will give an interactive talk “A Dialogue on Cure,” at 4 p.m. in Federation Hall.

Hear briefly from the Office of Academic Integrity about why you need to reference your sources. Then learn how to manage your references, create bibliographies, and format your papers in a variety of citation styles from a liaison librarian using RefWorks, a web-based citation software freely available to all UWaterloo students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
The change of seasons often also brings an influenza outbreak. Although influenza activity generally peaks around January, it takes the body about two weeks after vaccination to develop antibodies that will protect against influenza virus infection. For that reason it's important to get vaccinated before the seasonal outbreak, especially if you fall into the high risk category.
People in the following high risk categories are strongly encouraged to get the flu immunization:

Childhood obesity is a tremendously difficult public health problem. First Nations, Inuit and Métis children and youth face higher risk of overweight and obesity than do other young Canadians. This is true for those living in cities as well as those in rural or remote Indigenous communities.

Fish for Thought in the Gospels
The study of fish consumption in antiquity is complex, as there is ongoing debate as to a) the degree to which ancients actually ate fish; and b) what sort of “fishy” ideologies (Beer, 2010) existed. The latter, in turn, could involve the avoidance of fish altogether, eating certain kinds, sizes or portions of fish, or raising the creatures on private fish farms. Although fishers were low on the social scale, eating fish, especially large fish, was considered a luxury.
