Speaker: Susan Elliott

Medical geography is one of the oldest sub-disciplines in geography, and yet I spend a good portion of time at many meetings justifying my (intellectual!) existence. Medial (or health) geographers have actually played a significant role in shaping health policy in this country and beyond. I’ll use my time to explore a couple of examples that I have been involved in, and profile one grand experiment currently underway.
