In the simple models that economists routinely use to think about the labour market there is no such thing as a “good job”: everyone is paid what they are worth, regardless of whom they work for. In this lecture, Professor Card will review this evidence and discuss the importance of firms’ pay and hiring policies for understanding wage inequality, the gender pay gap, the career profile of wages, and many other phenomena.

Do you cycle into low mood and depression?

This skills-based group offers evidence-based therapy that helps sustain recovery from depression and decrease risk of relapse.

Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is an empirically validated group treatment program that is specifically designed to help individuals who have recovered from depression, to avoid future relapse. The primary prevention skills are mindfulness-based practices and the focus of therapy is in the prevention of relapses.
