The five-day Facilitator Development Workshop (FDW) is designed for individuals who have completed the Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) and who will be conducting the ISW Program at their institution. The FDW provides individuals with an opportunity for professional development in a challenging and supportive atmosphere with connections to a larger instructional development network.
This two hour hands-on workshop will introduce you to Desire2learn (D2L), our course management system for presenting course activities and resources in on-campus and fully online courses. By the end of this session you will: be able to use the D2L environment to communicate with your students; make decisions around the most effective way to organize content in your course; have basic knowledge of the tools available withinD2L and the ability to use these tools effectively. Please bring your own laptop to this session.

This workshop is designed to get you started on the path to creating more
dynamic videos with your DSLR.
It will give you knowledge needed for shooting in virtually any situation. We will teach you the basics of using exposure, choosing proper frame size and frame rate, focusing and stabilization techniques, audio recording, and much more to help you make the most of your camera's video mode.
This workshop will focus on the use of DSLR's for recording video, and is
recommended for those with some basic photography knowledge.
