In 2013, the CVRS meeting will be held for the first time in North America. This is an exciting new venture for CVRS as it will be the first time the conference is held outside of Europe.

Delegates who have been attending CVRS for many years will be brought together with researchers in pediatric vision from North America.

The event will foster new sharing of research and ideas; as well as new links and opportunities for networking.

The University of Waterloo will host a Ontario Benthos Biomonitoring Network training course in Huntsville, Ontario at the Waterloo Summit Centre for the Environment on June 18-20, 2013.

The Ontario Benthos Biomonitoring Network (OBBN), which is coordinated by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority, is an aquatic macroinvertebrate biomonitoring network for Ontario's lakes, streams and wetlands.
