Hear briefly from the Office of Academic Integrity about why you need to reference your sources. Then learn how to manage your references, create bibliographies, and format your papers in a variety of citation styles from a Liaison Librarian using RefWorks, a web-based citation software freely available to all Waterloo students, faculty, and staff.

The session is intended for instructors who have mastered the fundamentals of the LEARN environment and are looking for  ways to expedite tasks such as  marking quizzes, adding and editing course content, automating grade entry through rubrics and tool associations, keeping track of attendance and  at-a-glance release of course components.  Homepage tips and tricks will also be examined. Please bring your own laptop to this session.

The annual Career Fair, jointly organized by uWaterloo, Conestoga College, Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Guelph is largest of its kind in Canada. The focus of Career Fair is on full-time career opportunities for students following graduation and for alumni.

Professor Kelly Anthony, teaching Fellow, Applied Health Sciences, UWaterloo   The University of Waterloo is pleased to participate in the Kitchener Public Library's (KPL) Ideas and Issues Lecture Series.  Each week at 12 noon, a 50-minute lecture is presented by a Waterloo or Wilfrid Laurier university professor.  Pre-registration is not required to participate and there is no charge to attend.

Knowing effective strategies to organize information presented in lectures and textbooks will improve concentration, increase recall and save time.  In this workshop you’ll explore several note-taking and reading strategies. In addition you will identify your own note-taking style, practice the SQ3R reading technique, and learn about the role effective listening plays in your success.
