Velocity Fund $25K Applications Open

Velocity Fund $25K Applications are open! The Velocity Fund is a non-equity grant program for startups that offers $375,000 each year to startups through its Velocity Fund $25K and Velocity Fund $5K programs.

Three times a year, startups can apply to compete for $25,000 prizes, as well as an extra $10,000 in additional funding awarded to the most innovative hardware startup winner. The top applicants are invited to interview with a panel of Velocity leaders and alumni, and if selected, present their pitches at the Velocity Fund Finals on March 30.

Public Lecture by Martin Laforest
Join us for a night of film and science. The Institute for Quantum Computing has partnered with the Centre for Quantum Technologies in Singapore to host a festival for quantum-inspired films. The screening of the top 10 short films will be followed by a lecture by Senior Outreach Manager Martin Laforest about the everyday applications of quantum. He will delve into where we already use quantum and where researchers are hoping it will be used in the future.

Our Warrior Women’s Hockey team have qualified for home ice advantage in the OUA ¼ Finals and will host Western this week. This is the first time in program history that we’ll start at home in the opening round! Puck drop is at 7 p.m. at the University of Waterloo Columbia Icefield Arena. The gate will open at 6 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at the ticket desk on Day of Game or at gowarriorsgo.ca/tickets
