Auditions for our 8 music ensembles begins on the first day of classes. You have a choice of 4 choral groups (Chamber Choir, University Choir, Chapel Choir, and Vocal Techniques) or 4 instrumental groups (Jazz Ensemble, Balinese Gamelan, Instrumental Chamber Ensemble, and new this year - orchestra@uwaterloo!) Most ensembles are open to students from any field of study, staff, faculty, and community members.
See Music Department for details.
Competitors will choose an important industry problem, and thoroughly research it to understand its history, scope, and impact, before pitching this insight to a panel of judges on June 8. Teams of up to four students are invited to apply and compete for a share of $5,000 in grant funding, to be used for R&D to develop a solution to the problem pitched.
