Fintech Career Panel Export this event to calendar

Tuesday, February 7, 2017 — 10:00 AM EST

For Students

Financial technology, or Fintech, is a new economic wave where technology is used to bring innovation to the financial services industry. Global investment in financial technology increased more than twelvefold from $930 million in 2008 to more than $12 billion in 2014. Like the dawn of the smart phone and social media, this will be another 'life-changer' in this century. Both traditional financial companies such as banks and insurance companies, as well as start-ups, race to introduce creative solutions to complement traditional financial processes, products and business models. This resulted in new payment methods such as the digital wallet, new investment models such as crowdfunding and peer-to-peer lending, complementary advisory services such as personal finance management systems, more focus on big data, data analytics and predictive modeling. These innovations call on the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing. Attend this panel and Q&A session to hear from FinTech professionals about their experience working in this dynamic sector and the different career opportunities available in FinTech.

Please register if you will be attending this session or cancel the session if you have registered for this and no longer want to attend it.
