Join us for a Q&A talk with Fangjin Yang the Co-Founder and CEO of the hugely successful analytics company, Imply. Yang will share his experience in starting a company and how you can set yourself up for success and get your startup out of the garage.

With great scale comes great challenge for software giants looking to turn petabytes of real-time usage data into actionable analytics for their customers. After creating the popular open-source database tool Apache Druid, the founders of Imply capitalized on the tool’s success by creating a company to operate databases at an enterprise level and manage massive, scalable deployments of the tool.

Fangjin is a co-author of the open source Apache Druid®. Project and co-founder and CEO at Imply. Fangjin previously held senior engineering positions at Metamarkets and Cisco. He holds a BASc in Electrical Engineering and a MASc in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Apache Druid® is a high-performance, real-time analytics database to power analytics applications at any scale, for any number of users, and across streaming and batch data.
