Waterloo Alumnus Gordon Harrison visits the Bookstore for a talk, photographic display and book signing of his latest book, My Cousin & Me: And Other Animals.
My Cousin & Me is a natural history memoir that uses anecdotes, philosophy, and evolutionary theory to describe the flora and fauna of rural Ontario. Harrison invites you to relish in his adventures that started with two boys living in the hinterlands of Haliburton. This book is decorated with the author’s rare wildlife photographs of the creatures he had seen on the farm as a boy.
Gordon Harrison is the author of several popular books on religion, science, nature, and art. When he isn't writing, he's photographing the “endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful” of the Ontario hinterlands. Before this and after earning a Master of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo, he taught calculus and algebra.
This free event is open to the public. There will be a photographic display, discussion and book signing.
Copies of My Cousin & Me will be available for purchase on-site.
