The Hagey Bonspieil is a curling funspiel held once a year every February. The popular event started in honour of the first president of the University of Waterloo, Gerry Hagey.
The mission of the bonspiel is to foster connection within the UWaterloo community. This social event gives individuals across campus an opportunity learn a new activity and to play together as a team. It is also a chance to socialize with other individuals from various departments; people they may never have the opportunity to meet. It is a fun day where friendships and campus connections are made.
So, round up a friend or two and come on and join us for a day of fun and laughs. This event is all about having fun and is not competitive in any way. Most participants have either never curled before or this is the only time all year that they test their skills on the ‘frozen rings’. All equipment supplied.
