About the Hult Prize @ UWaterloo

The Hult Prize is the world’s largest student competition for social good, encouraging teams from across the world to launch social ventures that aim to solve the planet’s most pressing problems.

Teams of 3-4 students are invited to compete in the Hult Prize @ UWaterloo campus competition. Winning the Hult Prize @ UWaterloo will automatically advance you to a regional competition, where teams pitch their start-up in front of world-class judges for a chance to attend the Hult Prize Accelerator and compete for $1 million USD in seed capital.

This year's challenge is “Harnessing the power of energy to transform the lives of 10 million people.”
