Quitting a well paying job to become a tree-hugger and full-time volunteer activist had more lessons and learning than anyone could fathom. In the end ,we successfully rallied as a community to work together and protect thousands of acres of environmentally sensitive lands for generations to come while also developing a blueprint for a thriving technology driven Waterloo Region.
Kevin Thomason has worked combining technology and marketing for companies such as Apple Computer, KPMG, Quarry Integrated Communications, and most recently as the co-founder of a leading Web 2.0 start-up purchased by Google.
Concerned with the destruction of the Waterloo Moraine, Kevin
volunteered full-time for 3 years to help pioneer a Greenbelt Plan that has protected thousands of acres from development.
Kevin has continued to innovate environmental solutions, has traveled
extensively, and sits on a number of local and international Boards of
