200 years ago Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein, her famous novel about human experimentation gone wrong. In this age on the verge of breakthroughs in both AI and bioengineering, it’s a good time to think about the intersections of intelligence, life, and the human. The Waterloo Centre for German Studies is pleased to co-host this day-long interdisiciplinary workshop on the concept and practice of the “experiment.”
