Please join us for a panel discussion on planning and policy issues surrounding current refugee arrivals in the region:

Dr. Edmund Pries  (WLU)

Eunice Valenzuela (Mennonite Coalition for Refugee Support)

Mayor Berry Vrbanovic (City of Kitchener)

With the current influx of 1,150 Syrian refugees into the Waterloo Region this topic is extreme important to understand  and play our role as students, community members, and potential leaders to ensure we are all planning properly. This interdisciplinary discussion will be lead by a panel of experts including Dr. Edmund Pries (WLU),  Eunice Valenzuela (Mennonite Coalition for Refugee Support), and Mayor Berry Vrbanovic (City of Kitchener) to explain the situation and facilitate dialogue and questions around this current event.
