Showcasing Success: tracking research and departmental impact with SciVal

Do you want to better understand the real-world impact of your research or your department’s performance? Looking to make evidence-based decisions, support strategic planning or enhance research visibility? Join us for this hands-on SciVal training to learn how to use bibliometric data to evaluate research impact, productivity and collaboration trends.

This 60-minute workshop will consist of 50 minutes of hands-on learning and 10 minutes of Q&A.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Benchmark researchers and departments using key performance indicators
• Explore collaboration networks and co-authorship patterns
• Identify high-impact publications and citation metrics
• Generate reports for grant applications and evaluations

Must be a Waterloo student, staff or faculty member to attend. No prior knowledge of SciVal is required to participate.
