Bangladesh Cultural Society at Kitchener-Waterloo is arranging the first
event of their ‘Speaker Series’ program. The speakers for the up-coming
event are Ms. Valerie Ann Taylor and Ms. Carolyn Scott who will be sharing their experiences to enlighten the audiences of their work with the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP).
CRP was set up in 1979 in Bangladesh. Since then CRP and its sub-centres have provided services to millions and has set itself as an internationally acclaimed organization on treating and rehabilitating patients suffering from various forms of disabilities. Ms. Valerie Taylor, the founder of CRP has dedicated her career to the care, treatment and rehabilitation of the paralysed. For her work, she has been awarded with the Order of the British Empire and also the “Shadhinota Dibosh Podok” the highest civilian award of Bangladesh. Ms. Carolyn Scott is the President of the Friends of CRP-Canada society that plays valuable role in the operations of CRP including organizing fund raising events, seminars, logistical support and professional advice.
