Join the Office of Indigenous Relations (OIR) and the Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SVPRO) on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, for Red Dress Day, the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two Spirit People (MMIWG2S).
The day will begin with a sacred fire led by Elder Myeengun Henry at 10:30 a.m. on the BMH Green, followed by the hanging of red dresses inspired by Jaime Black’s REDress Project. The event will also feature the Aki Ogichidaa Kewwak N’gamowak Women’s Hand Drum Group.
