Thursday, September 25, 2014 — 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM EDT

Take back the night words beside moonTake Back The Night addresses the rights of women, children, and transpeople to be safe, without violence, regardless of age, creed, location, numbers, or attire. The opening rally begins at 6 p.m. in front of Kitchener City Hall.

Join UWaterloo for the annual Take Back the Night rally and march.

As a symbolic gesture to say that women should not have to be escorted by men in order to exercise their mobility rights without fearing violence, the march is for women, transpeople, and children.

Men are encouraged to attend the opening rally, line the marching route, and join the marchers afterwards for refreshments.

Meet at 5:30 p.m in front of William's by Kitchener City Hall. All UWaterloo participants will be provided with a T-Shirt to wear during the march.

Please register to confirm your attendance.
