Waterloo Unlimited Grade 10 "Theme of Change" 5-day programExport this event to calendar

Sunday, May 11, 2014 — 8:30 AM to Thursday, May 15, 2014 — 8:00 PM EDT
Waterloo Unlimited is a unique transdisciplinary high school enrichment
program for high school students from across Canada at the University of
Waterloo.

It's not quite like anything you've ever done before. It's about
challenging the borders of scholarship and developing higher-order skills:
communication, analysis, synthesis, initiative, curiosity, responsibility,
leadership, teamwork and creativity. It's about open-ended learning. It's
about you, and your love of learning. We don't want to focus on a single
discipline; we're more excited about integrating knowledge across
disciplines. While you're at Waterloo Unlimited you'll attend classes and
workshops from across Waterloo's six faculties (Arts, Applied Health
Sciences, Engineering, Environment, Mathematics, and Science).

We live in the midst of change: technological change, social change,
political change, environmental change. In modern times humankind has
experienced an unprecedented rapidity of change. How do we adapt, or not adapt... and what are the consequences? Students will consider the
perspectives of scientists, engineers, writers, and philosophers, as they
examine the dynamics of "Change".
