We are all impacted by mental health and illness. As grad students, staff, faculty, and postdocs, we may be impacted in different ways and have different perspectives. We may be in the position both of trying to assist students with their mental health concerns, and facing our own. We also have different barriers to accessing mental health services.
How can we best support students while also maintaining self care? What issues do we encounter when we try to talk about mental health or access services on and off campus?
In addition to lunch, W3 is providing a space and time for you to talk about your experiences with mental health and illness at the University of Waterloo. We hope you will join us.
W3 (Waterloo Women's Wednesdays) is a monthly gathering of woman-identified and non-binary grad students, post-docs, staff and faculty that (usually) meets on the last Wednesday of each month.
