Not sure which customer to target, which feature to build, what offer to sell, or which feedback to trust?

Choosing the wrong direction can cost a startup months of development, sales effort, and limited funding. This free, interactive workshop will help founders make a better decision before committing more time or money.

Participants are invited to bring one real decision about their customer, product, pricing, offer, or next growth move. During the workshop, they will work through:

  • What could make the current direction fail
  • What they need to learn before investing further
  • A focused, low-cost way to test it
  • What to do next based on the result

This is a working session, not a general founder talk. Participants will apply the process to a real startup decision and leave with a specific next step.

The workshop is led by Vivian Wang, founder of Growth Partner AI and a University of Waterloo instructor teaching Principles of Marketing in the Faculty of Arts. An earlier edition hosted during Toronto Tech Week attracted more than 100 registrations. The Waterloo session has been refined based on the real questions and decisions founders brought to that event.

The workshop is especially relevant to student founders, researchers exploring commercialization, alumni building companies, and early-stage startup teams.

Advance registration is required.
