Queen Elizabeth Scholars for Energy Access (managed by the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy) provides scholarships to UW students who complete international internships at social enterprises that are delivering clean energy-enabled solutions in emerging economies. WISE arranges these positions with employers, which are posted on WaterlooWorks every term. Scholarships of $5000+ are awarded to students selected for the positions. UW co-op students across all faculties are eligible. Undergraduate students must have completed at least two previous co-op work terms. Only Canadian citizens are eligible to receive the scholarship funding.
