General meetings are a big part of how we update members on the work we do—and how we hear from you about what we should be working on. The 2019 Spring General Meeting will be held Tuesday, April 9 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm in QNC 1502. General meetings are open to all voting members* of FAUW.
Lunch is provided: pizza and salad, including gluten-free and vegan pizzas. Catering is providing dishes this time, so no need to bring your own.
The agenda
We’re taking a new approach to reports this time; we’ve asked all of our members representing FAUW on committees across the University to provide brief updates, so in addition to the usual FAUW committee reports, you can also read about the status of policy drafting committees, student perception surveys, complementary teaching assessments, the Gender and Sexual Diversity Working Group, and more!
Also on the agenda:
- implementing the Okanagan Charter (with guests from Campus Wellness)
- the Provost’s memo on communications courses class sizes
- possible pension contribution increases
- election results – don’t forget to vote for new Board members by Friday at 1:00 pm! (AHS members, note that we’ve reopened the call for nominations for an AHS rep.)
